The Qunoot Collection

The Qunoot Collection

Dua is one of the strongest weapons of the Believer. This tear-jerking audio set is a collection of Qanoot Dua’s made by various Imams from around the world.

“The Believers, Men and Women, are Supporters and Protectors of one another. They command Al-Ma’ruf and forbid Al-Munkar, they perform Salat and give the Zakat, and Obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have his Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (At-Taubah: 71)

The Qanoot is recited at times of hardship, difficulties and when the Ummah has been affected by calamities. Usually the Imaam will recite it after the ruku and it is Sunnah for the followers to follow By stretching out their hands in front of their chest (as in dua) praying that Allah (SWT) alleviate the calamities from the Muslims.

The current Crusade against the Muslims is evidently clear from the atrocities committed against them in Iraq, Palestine, Kashmir and Chechnya.

Islam For Children

Islam For Children

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I never saw anyone who was more compassionate towards
children than Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon
him). His son Ibrahim was in the care of a wet nurse in the
hills around Madinah. He would go there, and we would go
with him, and he would enter the house, pick up his son and
kiss him, then come back. [Muslim]

Nurturing Eeman in Children

By: Dr. Aisha Hamdan. A plethora of parenting books on the market these
days covers every aspect of dealing with your children. From
the terrible twos to the troublesome teens, you will have no
problem finding multitudes of books claiming to point you in
the right direction when it comes to raising your children.
Whether you’re aiming to raise a baby Einstein, or just
looking for some hints on how to handle an unruly tyke or
teen, you will no doubt find plenty of advice. Nurturing
Eeman in Children, however, addresses an aspect of
child-rearing that is vitally important, and is not touched
upon in the mainstream selections that we are so familiar
with. In her book, Dr. Hamdan clearly and in no uncertain
terms explains the importance of instilling in our children
a strong connection to their Creator and a love for the
religion that He has chosen for us and them. From this book,
you will learn the what, why, and the how of raising a
righteous and faithul Muslim child.

Day in the Life of a Muslim Child

Abdul Malik Mujahid

This beautiful book describes a day in the life of a
Muslim Child. From waking up to going to bed at night it
goes over all the basic dua’s that should be recited in our
daily lives. It includes dua’s for waking up,
leaving/entering the restroom, before/after eating and those
needed through out the day. The whole book is told from
Ukasha’s point-of-view in a story like manner.

Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah

Abdul Basit Ahmad

The Prophet Muhammad (S) publicly named ten men who he
himself guaranteed would be in Paradise in the hereafter.
One of these fortunate men was Abu ‘Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah
(R). He was one of amongst who accept Islam in its early
days in Makkah. He took part in the migrations to Ethiopia
and Al-Madinah, for the sake of preserving his faith. He
fought in all the major battles of Islam and spent most of
his life as a soldier fighting for the cause of Islam. He
even killed his own father in battle when his father vowed
to slay him for accepting Islam. Praising his character, the
Prophet(S) said: “Every Ummah has a trustworthy man; Abu ‘Ubaidah
is the trustworthy man of this Ummah.”

Khabbab bin Al-Aratt

Abdul Basit Ahmad

Many Muslims who were weak and enslaved suffered inhumane
persecutions in the early days of Islam. Yet, they remained
steadfast and brave in their belief in Islam and support of
Prophet Muhammad (S). Khabbab bin Al-Aratt (R) was one of
these oppressed believers who had no hope of protection or
safety except for their strong belief in Allah’s salvation.
Khabbab (R) rose from the degrading life of slavery to
become a teacher of Allah’s revelation and a warrior in the
cause of Allah’s religion.

Child Education in Islam

Abdullah Nasih Ulwan

This book outlines the basic Islamic concepts in child
education. The author has tried to coordiante the main
ideas, as well as the basics precepts for raising Muslim
children in all the different spheres of life. First of all,
the importance of correct belief and faith cannot be
inculcated in young children except through the teaching and
example of their parents; and obviously, the role of the
mature and religious mother is foremost. This state of
harmony can only be achieved when matrimonial relations are
relatively stable. Care is to be taken in providing young
children with all the necessary elements in the fields of
ethical, physical and psychological education. This cannot
be overemphasized. It is established that the common
ailments of human societies, personal as well as social,
find their remedy in monotheism and justice. Therefore,
emphasis on these two moral principles is essential. Muslim
children must develop a clear understanding of the concept
of the oneness of Allah, mainly through the performance of
devotional acts of worship, to Him, and through developing a
sense of justice in all personnel and social dealings. The
author has briefly outlined these glorious concepts in this
book. Through his deep understanding of Islam, and his
eminent conviction and personal adherence to its glorious
principles, he introduces this book to the readers, with all
practical instructions, with the intention of helping to
build up a Muslim nation, worthily to uphold the honorable
tenets of the Glorious Qur’an and Sunnah.

The First Caliph of Islam – Abu Bakr
As-Siddiq

By Bilal Abdul-Kareem. Most people have a best friend who
they favor amongst all of the people, The best friend of
Prophet Muhammad (saw) was Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (ra) . He was
the only person, other than the “Prophet’s Own wife, who
accepted Islam immediately and believed in Muhammad (saw)
from the first movement that he announced his Prophet hood.
Abu Bakr (ra) always remained at the Prophet’s side and he
had no reservations about spending his wealth for the sake
of Islam and the Muslims. The Prophet’s Companions all
recognized his superiority, yet he always remained humble
and sincere towards all. This is the story of Abu Bakar (ra)
and his rise to leadership of the Muslim Ummah.

Uthman bin Affan: The Third Caliph of
Islam

By Bilal Abdul-Kareem. Uthman bin Affan was one of the early
men who accepted Islam in Makkah. From the first moment he
became a Muslim, he put all his wealth under the service of
Islam. He spent most of his resources to satisfy the needs
of poor Muslims. Recognizing his generosity and devotion to
Islam, the Prophet (pbuh) told him that his place would be
in Paradise on the Hereafter. He married Ruqayah (pbuh), the
Prophet’s daughter. After she died, he married her sister Um
Kulthum for that, the people at that time called him Dhun
Nurain, “The Man with the Two Lights.”

Bilal bin Rabah: The Mu’adhdhin
(Caller to Prayer)

By Bilal Abdul-Kareem. A few people stand in the face of
tyranny with endurance when they believe in the true and
eternal message of Islam. This book sheds light on the life
and struggle of the greatest example of endurance. Bilal bin
Rabah whom Islam changed from a weak slave to a great hero,
stood firm in the face of oppression and hence taught
generations to come how a Muslim should act when his Faith
is challenged. He was the only Mu’adhdhin (caller to prayer)
during the lifetime of the Prophet*. His emblem all his life
was `Allah is One, Alldh is One.’

The Guidance of Our Children

By Mohammad Elshinawy. Our children are our best investment for the
future of Islam – we need as Muslims to start taking this
Amanah (trust) seriously and take responsibility through
action.

All of you are shepherds, and each one is responsible for
his flock. A leader of people is a shepherd and responsible
for them. A man is like a shepherd over his family, and he
is responsible for his flock. A woman is like a shepherd
over her husband’s house and children, and she is
responsible for them. And a slave is a guardian of his
master’s property and is responsible for it. So all of you
are guardians and are responsible for your
charges.”(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Palestinian Nasheed Collection

A collection of the best Palestinian Nasheeds available. O Martyrs of
Palestine While we shed tears in the worship of Allah, you
shed blood, In life, tyranny and oppression is what you
suffered, In Jannah, suffer you shall not, For Gardens of
eternal pleasure await you. The enemies of the believers may
wish to change this struggle into an economic, political or
racial struggle so that the believers become confused
concerning the true nature of the struggle and (hope) the
flame of Imaan (faith) in the hearts become extinguished.
The Believers must not be decieved and must understand that
this is a trick. The enemy, by changing the nature of the
struggle, intends to deprive them of their weapons of true
victory – victory which may take any form: * Be it the
victory of the freedom of spirit, as was the case of the
Believers in Surah al-Buruj (Makers of the Pit) * Or
dominance in the world as a consequence of the freedom of
spirit, as happened in the case of the first generation of
Muslims.’ Syed Qutb (in his magnum opus – Milestones)

Benefit of the Day Magazine

And ‘Abdullah bin al-Mubarak recorded in az-Zuhd [p. 51]
that al-Hassan al-Basri said, “I saw those people [the salaf]
and how they were more careful about their time than about
their Dirhams and Dinars [i.e. their money].”

So we Muslims live in an age where our time is discarded
thoughtlessly, when time is, in fact, the currency with
which we buy safety and bliss in the Hereafter. We, the
sisters of Dar at-Tibyan, in the effort to benefit from our
time, increase our good deeds, and recommend one another to
the Truth and to patience, present our brothers and sisters
in Islam with a book of short, beneficial lessons and
reminders – one for each day in the month – which we hope
will add to your knowledge, help you use some of your free
time beneficially, and assist you in your accumulation of
good deeds. We ask Allah to accept this effort from us, to
bless it, and to allow us to continue in what is pleasing to
Him, Amin.

[16] Shaheed – Allah Allah

[16] Shaheed – Allah Allah

Uthman bin Affan: The Third Caliph of
Islam

By Bilal Abdul-Kareem. Uthman bin Affan was one of the early
men who accepted Islam in Makkah. From the first moment he
became a Muslim, he put all his wealth under the service of
Islam. He spent most of his resources to satisfy the needs
of poor Muslims. Recognizing his generosity and devotion to
Islam, the Prophet (pbuh) told him that his place would be
in Paradise on the Hereafter. He married Ruqayah (pbuh), the
Prophet’s daughter. After she died, he married her sister Um
Kulthum for that, the people at that time called him Dhun
Nurain, “The Man with the Two Lights.”

Bilal bin Rabah: The Mu’adhdhin
(Caller to Prayer)

By Bilal Abdul-Kareem. A few people stand in the face of
tyranny with endurance when they believe in the true and
eternal message of Islam. This book sheds light on the life
and struggle of the greatest example of endurance. Bilal bin
Rabah whom Islam changed from a weak slave to a great hero,
stood firm in the face of oppression and hence taught
generations to come how a Muslim should act when his Faith
is challenged. He was the only Mu’adhdhin (caller to prayer)
during the lifetime of the Prophet*. His emblem all his life
was `Allah is One, Alldh is One.’

We, the
sisters of Dar at-Tibyan, in the effort to benefit from our
time, increase our good deeds, and recommend one another to
the Truth and to patience, present our brothers and sisters
in Islam with a book of short, beneficial lessons and
reminders – one for each day in the month – which we hope
will add to your knowledge, help you use some of your free
time beneficially, and assist you in your accumulation of
good deeds. We ask Allah to accept this effort from us, to
bless it, and to allow us to continue in what is pleasing to
Him, Amin.
